Choosing the right hosting is very important when you are creating a proxy site. You will want to make sure that the host company that you choose is fast, affordable, reliable and that hosting a proxy site does not go against the hosting company’s terms of service.
You want to ensure that your proxy is fast. If it is slow, then people will move on to another site. There are lots of free proxy sites available and people will simply leave and never return.
You also want a host that is affordable. You don’t want to spend a lot of money on proxies that have not proven to be profitable. If after some time, you flip a few proxies or you begin to making profit from advertisers or Adsense, then it’s OK to upgrade your hosting.
Make sure that your host is reliable. If your proxy site is not working or if there are constant problems and your site only works intermittently, people will move on and not come back, so uptime is vital.
You also want to make sure that hosting a proxy does not go against their terms of services. Some hosting companies don’t allow proxies because they take up a lot of resources, and there’s the potential for illegal activity.
