This CGI script acts as an HTTP or FTP proxy. Through it, you can retrieve any resource that is accessible from the server it runs on. This is useful when your own access is limited, but you can reach a server that in turn can reach others that you can’t. In addition, the user is kept as anonymous as possible from any servers. Common uses include: anonymous proxies similar to The Anonymizer, other personal uses, VPN-like functionality, and others. It’s very simple to install, and very configurable.
When an HTML resource is retrieved, it’s modified so that all links in it point back through the same proxy, including images, form submissions, and everything else. Once you’re using the proxy, you can browse normally and (almost) forget it’s there.
Configurable options include text-only support (to save bandwidth), selective cookie and script removal, simple ad filtering, access restriction by server, custom encoding of target URLs and cookies, and more– there are about 45 options so far. It can run under mod_perl unchanged. It requires Perl 5.004 or later; Perl 5.6.1 or later may be required in future releases.

Previously we talked about the method to create a proxy site without much discussing about a proxy script. So here is the tutorial regarding proxy scripts alone.

It comes with ten themes, allows you to customize them and even add more theme. You can also optimize your proxies for the search engines.
If you are looking to make money with your proxy website (who isn’t?), you may want to consider purchasing Proxy Shout. This software allows you to start a proxy lister website. You can charge advertisers a monthly fee for both line ads and banners. Proxy Shout comes with a hit counter, has automatic site submission and easy management setup. - Obviously use a web proxy to open the site. Here is a list of top proxies
- Use the ip address of a website instead of the main url. e.g. 113.434.343.433 instead of www.proxyblog.org
- Block the software that is tracking your activity. Sometimes you cant do that because of password and administrative blocks.
- Use url redirects to open the web site. e.g. Tinyurl.com and Snipurl.com
- You can see the wesite content on Google using Google cache. Type cache:sitename.com in google search and you will see the site. This function is available on many search engines like yahoo, msn etc.
- Use google translation tool to open the blocked website. Yeh, its a type of proxy.

- Use google mobile search to see the site.
